Wild harvested from Northern Minnesota. Our tinctures are specifically designed to create the most bio-available medicinal mushroom product. We use different methods for different mushrooms. For Chaga, Reishi, and Red Belted Conk a proprietary 1:1 dual extraction method is used.
Ethanol Extract: The first extraction is done by soaking ground Chaga in 99% ethanol. After the extraction is complete, the Chaga is filtered out. The alcohol pulls out all of the beneficial triterpenes and alkaloids that are not water soluble.
Water Extract: Using a fresh batch of Chaga (many companies use the spent Chaga from their alcohol extraction), a water extraction is done by simmering Chaga in warm water for 24 hours. The water extraction pulls out all of the water-soluble polysaccharides and immune boosting beta-glucans.
